Who is Responsible for Multi-Vehicle Car Accidents in Pennsylvania
Part of any car accident case is determining “who is at fault?” Attorneys call this “liability.” When there are multiple vehicles involved, liability may be difficult to determine.
An example is a chain reaction accident at a red light. Imagine a car approaching an intersection with a redlight and fails to stop. That car rear-ends a second car stopped at a redlight, with the second car rear ending a third car in front of it, with the third car being pushed into the intersection hitting a fourth car driving across the intersection. Determining who is liable for the damage to each vehicle and the injuries to each driver depends on each driver’s actions prior to the accident and what they did once the accident occurred.
