It is possible for grandparents to obtain custody over the natural parents, but that’s in very limited circumstances.
If a grandparent feels that he or she may have reason to file for custody, I am happy to schedule a consultation for that person so that we can evaluate the situation and see if he or she has what we call ”standing” to pursue custody.
